Fictional Passport Disclaimer

The 8th Continent is a fictional digital country created for an interactive community and art experiment. Citizenship has no legal status. Passports are not government identification and cannot be used for travel. Participation does not grant diplomatic rights of any kind.

1. What You Are Purchasing

Your purchase is access to a digital community and interactive experiment — a founding citizenship in a fictional country. It is not a security, not a share of a company, and not a financial product. No promise of financial appreciation is made, implied, or should be assumed. Every new citizen pays more than the citizens who came before them; this is historical context only.

2. Citizenship & Passports

Founding citizenship is capped at 10,000. That cap cannot be changed by the Ministry — only by a future vote of the citizens, once the Constitutional Era begins. Each citizen receives one citizenship, one passport, one citizen number, and one vote. Passports are non-transferable by default. A public ledger (a blockchain) records limited public citizenship information as a verification layer; blockchain transactions may be permanent.

3. Refunds

Purchases may be subject to refund limitations once a digital passport has been issued, because issuance may trigger an irreversible public ledger record. See the Refund Policy for details.

4. Community Conduct

Citizens are expected to participate in good faith — in proposals, votes, census activity, and community discussion. See the Community Rules for the full conduct policy.

5. No Guarantees About Governance

The flag, motto, constitution, government, laws, and national institutions of the 8th Continent do not exist yet. They will be created over time by citizens through voting and collective decision-making. We make no guarantee about the pace, outcome, or form of that process.
